After what happened with Halo 2 for the Pc I don't think anyone cares anymore about Halo on the PC. And quite honestly really Halo is a pretty average shooter when held up next to other shooters on the PC, the only thing it's got going for it is a story.

I'm not trying to poop on your parade but that's pretty much how I feel about it.

I'd more or less have to agree. The multiplayer has only been a huge deal because of its popularity over Live, while its multi on the pc is a pretty bland experience.

I'm not a Halo hater, but I could care less about playing Halo 3. I beat Halo 2 at a friends house and wasn't interested in 3 just to find out what happened in the story. The game never grabbed me.

I'd go with that.  The PC is already pretty inundated with shooters, some of them very good and with well established multiplayer scenes. It'd be a tough sell, especially for Microsoft. All the Xbox hype they built up has only made PC gamers bitter and less likely to buy.

And to be honest, I don't think Halo has any trump card to play. It's got a few interesting design decisions - all ripped straight from Starsiege: Tribes of course - but regenerating shields aren't going to set the world alight. Meanwhile, it's squeezed between UT2004, Team Fortress 2, Counterstrike, Call of Duty 4, and the infinite creativity of their mod communies.

I don't think Halo 3 PC will cause a landslide or anything, but a port won't hurt anyone as it's so popular and though it may not be groundbreaking, especially on the PC, it's undeniably a polished and well made game.
